About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, the Events & Sponsorships Manager is, responsible for planning and delivering events, sponsorship activations and brand experiences that strengthen GWM's market presence and support commercial objectives.

This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact as we continue to strengthen and expand our high performing, dynamic marketing function. You'll also be joining us at an exciting time as we are soon moving into a brand-new office in Mulgrave, providing a modern, collaborative and vibrant workplace for our teams.

Leading the Events & Sponsorship Specialist, this role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring every event, activation and partnership creates meaningful engagement with customers, dealers, media, partners and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of GWM events, sponsorship activations and experiential marketing initiatives
• Manage end-to-end event delivery, including planning, logistics, budgeting, supplier management and post-event reporting
• Develop and execute sponsorship activation plans that maximise value, engagement and brand exposure
• Lead vehicle launch events, dealer conferences, customer experiences and corporate events
• Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsorship partners, agencies, venues and suppliers
• Collaborate with PR, social media and creative teams to maximise event visibility and content opportunities
• Manage sponsorship calendars, deliverables and contractual obligations
• Coordinate event assets including vehicles, merchandise, signage, displays and promotional materials
• Measure and report on event and sponsorship outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Lead, coach and develop the Events & Sponsorship Specialist to drive performance, engagement and capability
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure events and sponsorships support broader commercial and marketing objectives

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Events Management or a related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in events, sponsorships, activations, experiential marketing, PR or brand marketing roles
• Demonstrated experience delivering successful brand experiences, events and sponsorship activations
• People leadership experience, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
• Experience working with agencies, suppliers, venues and sponsorship partners
• Exceptional project management, planning and organisational skills
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to align events with business objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing budgets and multiple projects simultaneously
• Automotive, retail, FMCG, sports, entertainment or consumer brand experience will be highly regarded
