Job Description

Corporate Operations Department, Corporate Communications Division, Code 103 provides strategic counsel, planning, and execution of communication for Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

• The incumbent will:
  • Assist with visit agendas and sequences of events under the direction of the director of corporate communication.
  • Support the planning, coordinating, and assisting in execution of 100-125 key events per year, to include visits from distinguished individuals, military ceremonies, commemorative events marking historic milestones and anniversaries, and engaging community gatherings.

  • Serve as an action officer for planning and execution of local engagement and outreach efforts

Required Skills and/or Experience:

• Two (2) years working events, scheduling visits, managing schedules, or tours. Note that a 4-yr degree in the hospitality field satisfies the requirement for 2-yr experience
• Experience using MS Office Suite, particularly with MS Outlook for managing calendars
  

Degree Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in the hospitality field. Note that 2 years experience in event management satisfies the degree requirement.
