Combining event logistics, equipment and inventory management, and on-the-ground operational support, this role is central to ensuring events run smoothly and successfully.

The successful candidate will be comfortable undertaking manual handling and lifting tasks and be capable of safely operating a small electric utility vehicle on campus.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain and organise event storerooms, including inventory tracking of equipment, signage, and merchandise.
  • Assist with the coordination and logistics of merchandise pop-up shops and online store fulfilment.
  • Provide general administrative support for event planning and delivery, including completing documentation such as risk assessments and checklists.
  • Assist with event-related logistics and coordination tasks, including online ticketing, scheduling, travel arrangements, and basic invoice processing.
  • Undertake a range of administrative and operational tasks to support the efficient planning and delivery of University events.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to safely undertake manual handling tasks and set up, operate, and pack down event equipment, including media walls and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating event logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, supplier coordination, and on-site event delivery.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and support basic audiovisual (AV) equipment and event infrastructure, with experience using event management systems.
  • Sound understanding of risk management and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including the preparation of risk assessments, safety checklists, and other compliance documentation.
  • Experience managing storeroom operations, including inventory tracking, stock control, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn and use organisational systems for finance, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.
