Job Description

You enjoy solving problems in a complex environment to deliver the best outcomes for millions of people.

Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.

In this role, you'll:

Join our Major Events team, where you will lead the development of event transport strategy and oversee on-the-ground operations to ensure major events are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the broader community.

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and delivery, advising at a senior level while also ensuring seamless execution in complex, high-pressure environments.

You’ll take ownership of both strategic policy and operational delivery, including:

- Leading the development of major event traffic and transport policy, including NSW Government frameworks
- Managing event field operations for large-scale, high-profile events
- Providing expert advice and recommendations to inform strategic and operational decisions
- Representing Transport at senior government forums and stakeholder meetings
- Building and maintaining strong relationships across government, emergency services, police, local councils and industry
- Overseeing contractors, consultants and internal teams delivering event operations
- Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and event delivery approaches
- Contributing to business planning, budgeting, risk management and performance reporting.

This is a permanent full time position offering hybrid working options from our Transport Management Centre (TMC) at Eveleigh. As this role leads the delivery of major events, you will be required to regularly work outside of normal business hours, weekends and public holidays.
