Event Staff Security Officer
Location: Newport News, VA.

Hourly Rate: $17.00

We’re looking for professional, reliable Event Staff Security Officers to help keep people safe at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other special events in Newport News, VA. If you enjoy working with people, staying alert, and being part of a team, this could be a great fit for you.

Qualifications:
Security experience (1+ year) is preferred but not required. Applicants must have weekend availability, a flexible schedule, and the ability to work all scheduled events.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet guests and provide a visible security presence
  • Monitor crowds and event areas to help prevent incidents
  • Check tickets, credentials, and bags as required by the client
  • Enforce venue rules and regulations in a calm, respectful way
  • Respond to security or safety concerns and report incidents
  • Assist with access control at entrances, exits, and restricted areas
  • Provide directions and basic customer service to guests
