Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Event Coordinator oversees all aspects of tribal, business, and health services events from planning to execution to reporting. Organizational and departmental standards are implemented and adhered to as part of plans, communications, and execution while meeting client needs and expectations.
Primary Tasks:
Develop comprehensive event proposals, event plans and backup plans.
Manage event execution, including all pre-event planning details, welcoming guests, directing event setup and tear down, communicate with staff, and organize vendors.
Problem-solve the many aspects of assigned events during all phases – planning to execution – with levelheadedness and professionalism.
Work with appropriate personnel to ensure event details are marketed and communicated to the right audience at the right time in an effective way.
Lead an assigned Labor Day event such as external vendor relations, associate access, signage, etc.
Communicate event details within all Communications departments and key stakeholders in a timely manner and maintain project tasks in appropriate software.
Recruit event personnel and assign leads; maintain contact list and coordinate with each area lead providing clear expectations and instructions to execute a seamless event.
Delegate event planning tasks to other staff members when necessary.
Report event details in the appropriate report template in a timely manner including areas for improvement.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
CVENT, Social Tables, Workfront, or comparable project management software skills
