The Event Producer is responsible for planning, producing, and executing a wide range of public and private events, both externally and internally, at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House. This role oversees the full lifecycle of events—from concept development and logistics to onsite production and post-event evaluation—ensuring exceptional experiences that reflect the historic significance and mission of Ford House.

The Event Producer works collaboratively with internal departments, external partners, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality events that support community engagement, earned revenue, and brand reputation. This role works closely with clients to develop and execute a clear vision for the guest experience while ensuring all event details are accurately documented and communicated to support seamless execution. They also serve as the primary point of contact throughout the planning process, acting as a key liaison between Ford House and the Continental Events teams. A strong focus on identifying and securing event upsell opportunities, while maintaining a collaborative partnership with the Ford House team, is essential to support overall event revenue goals and the continued success of the venue partnership.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple events and competing priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Private Event Planning and Detailing

• Serve as the primary point of contact with booked clients throughout the event detailing process, guiding events from initial booking through execution while ensuring a seamless planning experience.
• Schedule and lead client detail meetings and venue walk-throughs to finalize event logistics, timelines, and guest experience expectations.
• Create and distribute accurate BEO’s, event documentation, and detailed floor plans using Social Tables to ensure alignment across culinary, service, staffing, and operations teams.
• Communicate menu selections, dietary restrictions, special requests, and event updates to all relevant internal teams to support seamless event execution.
• Accept and document client drop-off items and coordinate with service and event management teams to ensure proper handling and execution.
• Attend events as needed to ensure operations are running smoothly and client expectations are met.
• Identify and secure event upsell opportunities throughout the planning process to support overall event revenue goals.
• Maintain a pre-determined upsell goal
• Maintain accurate event documentation and input event details within company systems including TripleSeat, Salesforce, and internal calendars.
• Meet regularly with the Senior Event Production Manager to review performance, discuss event operations, and address questions or concerns.

Internal Events and Venue Partnership

• Manage the booking and planning of all internal Ford House events from initial booking through final execution, coordinating logistics, timelines, guest counts, menus, and event requirements.
• Coordinate with Ford House staff to manage internal room holds, event logistics, and calendar visibility for upcoming events.
• Collaborate with facilities, security, visitor experience, and landscapes teams to ensure smooth event operations on the historic estate.
• Collaborate closely with Ford House leadership, culinary, service, and operations teams to ensure alignment across all departments involved in event planning and execution.
• Partner with the Ford House team to develop proposals, budgets, and event structures for internal events, providing guidance on menus, guest counts, and ticket pricing to help support event profitability and operational feasibility.
• Support planning and coordination for Ford House public-facing events, task forces, and internal initiatives where event expertise is required.
• Participate in internal meetings, event recaps, and operational discussions to continuously improve event planning processes and execution.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Ford House staff, clients, and internal teams to support a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Oversee site setups and breakdowns while protecting historic structures, collections, and landscapes.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience in the industries required
• 1+ years of experience in sales, event production, coordination, or service industry
• Experience with Caterease, Salesforce, Social Tables, or similar event systems
• Background in both corporate and social event execution
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
