About the role

This role is responsible for managing the operational execution and end to end delivery of Precinct Activations to ensure the products are delivered and commercial outcomes are met. This includes project management responsibility for the build and fit out of TA activations, agency and supplier management, management of logistics, OH&S and compliance, day to day activation operations and management of event staff.

In this role you will:

  • Work with internal teams on the overall planning and delivery of Precinct Activations Operations across the site.
  • Project manage the operational requirements for the planning and delivery of activations including coordination and adherence to production briefs/schedules.
  • Manage multiple suppliers, ensuring product activation deliverables are met and build/fitout are installed within budget, to a high quality and on time.
  • Collaboratively work with build/agencies suppliers to develop build requirements in line with the project timelines.
  • Manage the successful delivery of all Product Activations during the Australian Open.
  • Work directly with the infrastructure delivery team, precinct operations, temporary structure contractors, sub-contractors etc to review and refine Product Activations and elevations.
  • Manage and track OH&S and compliance requirements for all suppliers, including document submissions to City of Melbourne.

About you

  • Solutions-oriented with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing event builds
  • Previous experience working on major events or large brand activations (outdoor)
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage, strong organizational skills and operational planning
  • Certificate/Diploma of Project Management (preferable)
  • Team management and leadership experience
  • Multi-million-dollar financial budgeting experience
  • Experience managing numerous stakeholders including client management and responding to client briefs
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
