Job Description

This individual will be responsible for executing the DeWalt Commercial & Industrial Event Marketing Strategy in Alberta. The primary objective is to create awareness and convert end users into loyal DeWalt Power Tools, Power Tool Accessory and Hand Tool customers. Daily activities include executing effective demos of tools and accessories, conducting training seminars, developing relationships, and raising awareness of products with distribution outside sales representatives and managers and end users. Secondary objectives include assisting the team with merchandising, display set-ups, prospecting new and underserviced channels of distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the execution of new product launches.

  • Hands-on lead in field event planning and execution

  • Transport event vehicle and product as per schedule.

  • Execute brand development initiatives as determined by the Regional Sales Director

  • Product knowledge training

  • Build and maintain relationships with End Users, Distribution OSRs and SBD Field Team

  • Support Direct Serve Sales Force in contractor events and End User sales calls.

  • Assist with Win the Wall Strategy at Distribution

  • Identify new channels of distribution, example Rental.

  • Budget management, vehicle maintenance, communications, follow-up, call reports, expense budgets

  • Other duties as assigned.

SELECTION STANDARDS REQUIRED:

  • College or University graduate

  • Knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and pneumatics products is an asset.

  • Experience in sales with a record of demonstrated achievements and leadership.

  • Willingness to travel

  • Ability to work some weekends as needed.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with computer software including MS Word and Outlook

  • Clean Drivers Abstract
