THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Account Executive / Events Executive with an initial grounding in the live events or experiential marketing industry to work on one of the agency's flagship accounts for a global automotive brand.

You’ll be passionate about working in an integrated creative agency, delivering expertly organised meetings and events and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Working closely with the wider client services team, you’ll be responsible for providing event support and guidance to the client's retail network.

You'll be keen to learn and develop, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.

This role requires you to work onsite with our client team in Basildon, Essex twice a week.

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Support colleagues in the day-to-day running of meetings and events, taking ownership of some projects as and when appropriate.

  • Develop an understanding of agency process and resource management to enable the effective progression of work.

  • Help with producing and updating client communications and project documentation including contact reports, status reports, project plans and health & safety documentation.

  • Manage expectations of internal stakeholders throughout the duration of a project by effectively communicating information, actions and progress.

  • Operate collaboratively and develop strong professional relationships with colleagues across departments and with relevant client partners.

  • Manage feedback and approvals of work.

  • Support more senior team members with strategic work and the development of creative ideas and effective brand experiences.

  • Demonstrate an on-going interest in industry leading ideas and emerging trends.

  • Proactively share your views and ideas with the team and client (if appropriate).

  • Support team members with robust financial management of all projects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Ideally you will have worked in a marketing or events role before, within an agency or similar fast paced environment.

  • Energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire confidence.

  • Drive and desire to get one step ahead of the client’s needs and display an ‘already done’ mentality.

  • A calm and consistent manner when plans change, with the ability to think on your feet.

  • The ability to look beyond the immediate day-to-day and identify potential issues and solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • A desire to achieve high quality standards with strong attention to detail.

  • A self-starter and team player who is solution oriented and knows how to ‘make things happen.’

  • Organisation and the ability to manage, prioritise and juggle multiple projects efficiently is key to this role.

  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders on both the client and agency side.
