WHO ARE WE?

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation (‘BCF’) is one of Sydney’s most trusted frontline charities and has been supporting the community for 40 years. Our mission is to address homelessness and hardship by providing essential services including food, social welfare, healthcare, education and community programs.

THE ROLE

This position plays an important role in bringing people together through well organised and meaningful events.

As our Event Coordinator, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of events across BCF. From weekly church gatherings to major community events such as Christmas Day, you will help ensure events run smoothly, safely and in alignment with our mission.

This position is full-time working 38 hours per week. Flexibility is required to support events including Sundays, evenings and major BCF events throughout the year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Event Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the planning and coordination of events across BCF
• Assisting with weekly church services and associated activities
• Coordinating event schedules, timelines and operational plans
• Liaising with internal teams to organise event requirements
• Supporting volunteer coordination during events
• Assisting with event logistics including setup and pack down
• Maintaining event calendars and documentation
• Providing onsite support to ensure events run smoothly
• Helping resolve operational issues during event delivery

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You are an organised and proactive professional who enjoys coordinating moving parts and supporting teams to deliver successful events.

You’ll also bring:

• Previous experience in an events, coordination or administrative role
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Confidence working with multiple teams and stakeholders
• A calm and reliable approach in busy environments
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Alignment with the mission and values of BCF

• Flexibility to support events on Sundays, evenings and major organisational events is important for this role.
