Staff Non-exemptThe Events & Conference Services Manager is responsible for a broad range of professional functions in generating revenue and managing use of university facilities. The position plans and organizes support for external and co-sponsored events and conferences including supervision of staff, and coordinates services with related campus partners to ensure success.
Job Duties:
Office Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Must be able to work evenings & weekends as needed for special events
Initiates and maintains contact with event sponsors and guide external constituents through the process, policies, and requirements of hosting an event on campus, including scheduling and contracts management for events including but not limited to workshops, weddings, summer alumni guest program, memorials, conferences, non university athletic events, etc
Assists with budget planning, billing and invoicing
Responds to inquiries, provides quotes, and confirms event logistics including managing on-campus housing accommodations and overseeing day-of logistics
Assists with Summer Camps/Conferences and maintaining Summer Housing Keys
Provides quality customer service and works collaboratively with campus partners and stakeholders to ensure successful conferences and events
Researches third party vendors and suggests selections based on overall value, quality, and need
Works to develop marketing content and manages social media platforms

Required
Associate’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field
A minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Preferred, but Not Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Experience in marketing and managing event contracts and services
Knowledge of Mazevo
Experience in higher education
The ability to walk for extended periods of time
The ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs

22.70-28.38
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
