Position Summary
Step into the center of the guest experience as an Event Concierge Intern, serving as a trusted connection between meeting planners, resort guests, and the operational teams bringing each program to life. In this highly visible role, you will develop firsthand expertise in event coordination, client communication, luxury service, and real-time problem-solving while supporting complex programs in an exceptional resort environment. A 12-week experiential learning journey combines guided development, increasing ownership, and a final capstone project designed to connect your academic experience with meaningful hospitality practice.
What You Will Create
- Seamless group experiences by becoming a knowledgeable, responsive point of contact for meeting planners and in-house groups, ensuring guest needs, event details, and operational expectations are communicated with precision from arrival through departure
- Confident event execution by partnering with Conference Services, Convention Services, Catering, and operational departments to support complex programs, group movements, and evolving guest needs while maintaining a consistently elevated level of service
- Client confidence and trust through polished written and verbal communication, thoughtful anticipation of needs, and a calm, solutions-focused approach when unexpected challenges arise
- Operational alignment by contributing to Pre-Convention Meetings, Banquet Event Order Meetings, and weekly Group Resume meetings, helping ensure the teams supporting each event are informed, prepared, and positioned to deliver on client expectations
- Memorable event outcomes by monitoring event logistics from beginning to end, proactively identifying opportunities to resolve concerns, and keeping the guest experience at the center of every decision
- Deeper hospitality expertise through a structured experiential learning project that allows you to explore an internship-specific objective, apply what you have learned, and present a capstone project reflecting your development throughout the program
- Meaningful team contributions through special projects assigned by department leaders, strengthening the overall effectiveness and success of the events team
What You Can Expect
This is an immersive, hands-on opportunity within a fast-paced luxury resort environment where no two event days are exactly alike. You will work alongside experienced hospitality professionals and interact directly with meeting planners, guests, and operational teams, gaining perspective on the coordination and precision required to deliver exceptional group experiences.

- Final 2 Weeks: Capstone Project and Wrap-Up: Analyze your experience, reflect on your learning, and complete an experiential project tied to your internship objective
The role offers meaningful exposure to event operations while requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules based on event demands. You should also be prepared to stand or walk for extended periods and lift, move, and place items weighing up to 30 pounds.
