ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Supervise the daily operations and functions of the housekeeping staff
Train new hires in various roles
Ensure room standards are maintained by inspecting and coaching housekeeping staff daily, update staff performance records
Assist with Human Resources paperwork as needed
Ensure all guest comments are acted upon promptly
Assist with inventory
Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
Inspector, Housekeeper, Houseperson, Laundry and Lobby attendant duties as needed
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of previous work history/education required
General computer/tablet, office, phone and communication skills required
One-year previous supervisory experience preferred
Previous office experience preferred
Previous housekeeping preferred
Basic knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures (i.e. blood, pests)
Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: Starting at $22.00 -$23.00 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be minimum 18 years of age
Must use vacuum, mop and full bucket of water, and other cleaning-like equipment
Must lift 35 lbs./ push 75 lbs. occasionally (i.e. inspector carts, housekeeper carts, bundles of sheets)
Job requires standing, sitting, walking, handling, reaching, stooping and climbing stairs on a daily basis
Communicate clearly in English both written and verbal
