Job Description

Railway Safety and Certification Evaluator (Control, Command & Signalling)

Location: Madrid, Barcelona, or Portugal (preferred)

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Railway Safety and Certification Evaluator specialized in Control, Command & Signalling (CCS) to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to railway system safety assessments, perform safety analyses in industrial environments, and participate in the certification of railway systems, providing technical expertise and added value to our department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform safety assessments of railway systems within the Control, Command & Signalling (CCS) domain.
  • Conduct safety analyses in railway and industrial environments.
  • Participate in the certification of railway systems in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation related to assessment and certification activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on national and international projects.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders within the railway sector.
  • Keep up to date with railway safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related disciplines) or Physics (specialization in Electronics).
  • A Master's degree related to railway systems, safety engineering, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
  • Previous experience in the railway sector, particularly within Control, Command & Signalling (CCS), is highly desirable.
  • A committed and proactive attitude, with a strong willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
  • Availability to travel according to project requirements.
  • Professional level of English suitable for working in an international environment.
  • The position may be based in Portugal (preferred location); therefore, Portuguese language skills will be considered a strong asset.
