As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of EV charging infrastructure projects, from early development phases through commissioning and operational handover.
Acting as the central point of coordination in Belgium, you will work closely with internal teams, external partners, contractors, and local stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
1. Project Development & Preparation
Support project development by coordinating internal and external technical and regulatory resources
Assess site feasibility for EV charging installations (electrical capacity, technical constraints, site layout, implementation feasibility)
Coordinate technical and administrative feasibility studies
Manage site design and engineering studies
Coordinate grid connection studies with Belgian Distribution System Operators (DSOs)
Identify technical, regulatory, operational, and scheduling risks early and propose mitigation actions
Ensure project assumptions are aligned with Driveco group technical and operational standards
Provide regular reporting on project progress to all stakeholders
2. Project Delivery & Deployment
Act as the main point of contact between Driveco and site stakeholders (landowners, operators, partners, local authorities)
Plan, coordinate, and manage all project resources including internal teams, local subcontractors, suppliers, and partners
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality, contractual, and safety standards
Review and validate technical documentation and detailed engineering studies
Coordinate site visits, construction works, testing, and commissioning activities
Monitor project progress proactively and resolve blockers and risks
Ensure proper project handover to Operations teams and structured project closure
Maintain regular internal reporting on project timelines, budgets, risks, and key operational issues
3. Operational Excellence & External Representation
Contribute to improving subcontractor and partner performance (quality, timelines, contractual commitments)
Participate in meetings with suppliers, contractors, DSOs, and strategic partners
Represent DRIVECO with external stakeholders, including grid operators, municipalities, and regulatory authorities
Contribute to the standardization and optimization of project management tools and processes
Support cross-functional operational improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Deployment Manager
4. Maintenance Setup & Operational Readiness
Work closely with headquarters teams to define the most suitable maintenance strategy for the Belgian market
Support the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance processes to ensure infrastructure performance and uptime
Identify, and onboard local maintenance partners and technical service providers with the support of central fonctionsfunctions
Contribute to the set up escalation and incident management processes
Facilitate communication between internal teams, local partners, and technical suppliers
Contribute to maintenance cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements
Contribute to ensure maintenance activities comply with regulatory and safety requirements
Act as the local contributor in Belgium for maintenance and operational continuity topics
The accountability for maintenance strategy, governance and performance management remains under Driveco central O&M teams.
Proven experience in project management, ideally within infrastructure, construction, energy, or utilities sectors
Good understanding of technical design processes, grid connection, and multi-stakeholder coordination
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate various stakeholders
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, process standardization, and partner performance management
Valid driving license required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Autonomous, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-growing and dynamic environment
Languages
Professional proficiency in English is mandatory
Dutch and/or French are considered a strong plus
