Shape the Future of Customer Growth in Europe

We are seeking a customer-focused marketing leader to help strengthen how Caterpillar engages customers across Europe. This role will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that generate demand, increase brand awareness, accelerate adoption of solutions (machines, services, and technology), and deepen customer relationships across the customer lifecycle.

As the Europe Marketing Communications & Channel Activation Leader, you will lead a team responsible for full-funnel marketing; digital marketing, campaign activation, public relations, events, creative development, and customer engagement. Working across a matrixed organization, you will help bring global strategies to life in Europe while advancing marketing capabilities in digital engagement, value proposition development, experiential marketing, customer insights, and performance measurement.

What You Will Do

• Strengthen Caterpillar’s brand presence across Europe by showcasing its world-class machines and industrial solutions.
• Develop and lead integrated marketing strategies that connect customer needs with the value of Caterpillar machines, services, technology, and solutions.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team while building modern marketing operations and best practices.
• Translate customer, market, competitive, and performance insights into compelling messaging, value propositions, go-to-market programs, and campaign improvements that increase marketing effectiveness and ROI.
• Adapt and activate Caterpillar-led marketing strategies for European markets while partnering closely with dealers and global business teams.
• Create connected customer experiences across awareness, purchase, ownership, service, and advocacy.
• Steward marketing budgets, agency partnerships, and vendor relationships, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value opportunities, expenditures are effectively managed, and outcomes are tied to measurable business results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within industrial, construction, manufacturing, automotive, OEM, or retail/B2C environments.
• Experience leading integrated marketing, digital marketing, brand, customer engagement, and demand generation programs.
• Proven success executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver measurable commercial results.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, paid media, content strategy, social media, marketing automation, analytics, public relations, and experiential marketing.
• Experience leading large-scale customer events, trade shows, conferences, and brand activation programs.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage customer insights, data, AI-enabled marketing capabilities, and emerging technologies to improve marketing effectiveness and business outcomes.
• Experience working across complex matrixed organizations and collaborating with dealers, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, influencing, and leadership capabilities, with experience leading teams, major projects, or transformational initiatives.
• Experience developing customer-centric messaging and managing marketing activities across the sales funnel.

Additional Information:

• Travel: 25-50% of working time. When not traveling, this role is based in the office and requires regular on-site presence.
• Fluent English required. Additional European languages such as French, Italian, or German are highly desirable.
• Relocation not offered with this role.
• A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position
