The EU Operations Controller / Flight Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing daily and strategic operational activities to support the safe and efficient conduct of company flight operations. Responsibilities include flight planning, aircraft performance calculations, weather interpretation, arranging airport slots and ground handling, and the preparation and distribution of General Declarations (GENDECs), while coordinating with operational departments as required to ensure the safe execution of each flight and the highest level of service to our owners. The role requires proactive planning and anticipation of the company’s operational needs.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• United States based role supporting our European operations.

• Monitor the daily operation (demand, uncovered trips, delays)

• Monitor all functions within Operations, identify potential problems that could cause disservice and provide solutions to minimize any delays.

• Flight Planning according to Operations Manual, procedures and regulations, considering safety amongst all.

• Evaluate and initiate of ERP in accordance with company policy.

• Flight following/in flight assistance of flight crews, including analysing and evaluating meteorological conditions, aeronautical charts, ATS monitoring and route optimization

• Manage Handling, slots and services coordination related to a flight.

• Collaborate with internal teams, to ensure smooth and timely execution of each flight, providing updates and managing expectations, as necessary.

• Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and economy of operations.

• Ensure that all flights are in full compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree, in business or an aviation related field preferred; experience within an aviation environment preferably Business Aviation; previous years of supervisory experience; knowledge of fractional operations; equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks, international flight planning, and international aviation treaties and agreements, ideally gained within a Business Aviation environment is preferred, but not required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)

• Knowledge of aircraft operations and safety standards in different global regions.

• Dispatch License is preferred, but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of CAA regulations, aviation permits, traffic rights, and operational requirements for Irish, Malta and UK-based fleets.

• Familiarity with core job competencies including, but not limited to, international operations, Customs/immigration requirements, airport access coordination (landing permissions, slots, PPRs, etc.), handling services, weather trends, and ATC flow is preferred.

• Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business

• Strong organizational skills and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex flight itineraries and documentation.

• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, particularly in high-pressure situations.

• Proficient in aviation-specific flight planning software.

• Excellent English oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required. Further languages skills of advantage.

SCHEDULE

• 11.5hour shifts

• 4 shifts on 4 shifts off

• Early Morning to evening shifts, and vary between Afternoon to Late night shifts to ensure coverage

• Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This job requires regular communication and the ability to assess conditions visually and aurally. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, typing, and use of office equipment, as well as occasional walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
