& Summary
The Financial Services Project Manager leads the delivery of projects within the financial services sector (banking, insurance, fintech…etc.). The role ensures solutions are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with regulatory and business objectives. This role is responsible for managing project planning, governance, and cross-functional teams across a range of technology initiatives—including software development, systems integration, digital enablement, and regulatory compliance. The Project Manager collaborates closely with business, technology, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Delivery Excellence
Lead end-to-end delivery of financial services technology projects (core banking upgrades, digital channels, payments, regulatory tech…etc.)
Define andmonitorscope, schedules, budgets, and quality metrics using hybrid models (Agile–Waterfall), embedding regulatory and audit requirements.
Coordinate development, testing, deployment, data migration, and change management withdifferent work streams
Govern releases with clear entry/exit criteria per stage (e.g., SIT, System Integration, UAT, cutover/migration), ensuring dependency and risk tracking.
Enforce security, data privacy, and sector QA standards throughout delivery.
Governance & Reporting
Support the setupof projectgovernance tailored tofinancial services, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks/issues, and KPIs.
Operate weekly status meetings and management reporting; prepare steering committee packs and executive updates.
Managedashboards in Jira/Azure DevOps/Power BI with views for delivery, risk, and regulatory readiness.
Ensure compliance with PwCdeliveryquality, documentation, and audit evidence requirements.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Manage stakeholders across business,Technical workstreams, and vendors
Integrate with Enterprise PMO to align with broader transformation portfolios.
Value & Continuous Improvement
Drive process re-engineering and product portfolio rationalization initiatives to improve efficiency and Client experience
Identifyimprovements to delivery tooling, controls, and ways of working inFScontext.
Contribute to proposals and thought leadership in Digital & FS Transformation.
Required Professional Experience
8–12 years managing technology or transformation projects;5+ years in financial services preferred.
Proventrack recorddelivering complex programs (e.g., core banking upgrades, digital transformation, regulatory change) in consulting, system integration, or enterprise IT environments.
Consulting or enterprisefinancial servicesdelivery background.
