Job Location: Mexico City, Mexico

As a valued member of the Global Ethics & Compliance team, this position will help us protect and build on the LS&Co. legacy through the day-to-day management of essential corporate ethics and compliance initiatives.

At Levi Strauss & Co., the Global Ethics & Compliance function is an independent and objective body (within the greater legal department), tasked with periodic assessment of a variety of compliance issues and concerns within the organization.

The Ethics & Compliance Analyst will support key, high visibility corporate compliance programs, with a focus on monitoring our ethics & compliance Reportline and supporting ethics & compliance training initiatives, contributing to the continued enhancement of an ethical corporate culture.

Through cross-functional collaboration with key departments, stakeholders and influencers on priority compliance initiatives, this compliance role will frequently interface with other areas of the business including Marketing, Corporate Security, Finance, Internal Audit, Procurement, Trade Compliance, and IT, among others.

About the Job

  • Oversee and monitor the Ethics & Compliance Reportline, ensuring all matters are correctly assessed and managed, as appropriate.

  • Design, analyze, and create regular reports for management that highlight trends, areas for process improvement, and recommending actionable improvements.

  • Support the investigation process and overall investigations governance program to include strategic direction of the program, logistics, documentation, investigation summaries, final reports, and maintenance of resource materials.

  • Champion the creation, delivery, and continuous refinement of ethics & compliance training initiatives, including logistics, post-session follow-up, and program recommendations.

  • Develop, review, and update training materials, including collaborating with SMEs to incorporate relevant case studies and interactive elements.

  • Act as point of contact for employee questions relating to ethics and compliance topics, provide expert guidance to resolve complex issues and make recommendations that shape organizational policy.

  • Initiate and oversee the development and revision of process documents, reference guides, and resources, ensuring best practices and regulatory standards are met.

  • Facilitate the risk assessment process, including evaluating outcomes and making recommendations on risk management strategies.

  • Prepare materials for the Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel, and Board of Directors (Audit Committee) regarding ethics & compliance program initiatives, quarterly highlights and any identified risk areas.

  • Establish and support cross-functional collaborations to drive compliance-focused initiatives; functions may include Legal, HR/Employee Relations, Sourcing/Supply Chain, Corporate Security, Finance, Internal Audit, Procurement, Trade Compliance, and IT.

  • Serve as ambassador for LS&Co.’s ethical culture across all functions and geographies.

  • Expected to observe the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, and to set an example for other LS&Co. employees; champion LS&Co.’s core values and demonstrate personal integrity, respect, and teamwork in the performance of all job duties.

  • Role may require occasional U.S. and international travel, as requested.

About You

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; law degree, social sciences or business degrees preferred (but not required).

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of prior corporate experience.

  • Knowledge of other languages preferred (particularly Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin and/or Cantonese).

  • Prior experience in ethics and compliance, training, investigations (or similar experience).

Skills

  • Familiarity with compliance tools and software, including Workday, NAVEX, and SharePoint.

  • Familiarity with anti-bribery and anti-corruption, sanctions and financial crime regulations.

  • Familiarity with compliance programs and concepts, and risk-ranking methodologies.

  • Familiarity using AI tools in day to day work.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong problem solving, critical analysis and time management skills, with the ability to juggle different requirements and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong team-based orientation along with ability to operate collaboratively.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the aptitude to master new data integration or technology solutions intended to automate LS&Co.’s compliance efforts and metrics.

  • Able to identify and rapidly escalate compliance concerns and offer potential solutions to legal/compliance colleagues, and business leadership

  • Able to apply a practical and reasonable approach to compliance issues and initiatives, while maintaining a high standard of integrity.
