Key Requirements
Problem-Solving Expertise
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across software and hardware boundaries.
Proven problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis, debugging under time pressure, effective multi-tasking, strong organizational habits, and the ability to manage multiple customer issues in parallel while maintaining high quality and responsiveness.
Development Skills
Demonstrate hands-on experience in C or C++ development/debugging or testing.
Customer Interaction
Exhibit experience or a willingness to work directly with customers in a technical support role.
Technical Proficiency
Possess a general knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux development environments. Understanding/knowledge of hardware-software interactions.
Communication Skills
Excel in verbal and written English communication with customers of all skill levels, from novice to expert.
Tool Proficiency
Showcase hands-on experience with version control systems like Git/SVN.
Collaboration Skills
Emphasize strong teamwork and partner management skills.
Nice to Have Skills
Ethernet Expertise
Familiarity with wired Ethernet firmware/driver knowledge.
Technical Proficiency
Experience and knowledge in drivers and hardware-oriented software.
Tool Proficiency
Experience with defect tracking applications.
Networking Knowledge
Understanding of the Data link layer (L2 in OSI model) and Network layer (L3) standards and implementations, including but not limited to, IEEE 802.3, various RFCs. Optionally, Physical Layer (L1) and Transport Layer (L4).
Understanding of Linux kernel network stack and related drivers.
AI-Assisted Productivity
Strong interest and ability to leverage existing AI tools to improve daily engineering workflows such as development, debugging, testing, documentation, and automation, with a mindset toward continuous efficiency improvement.
