The ETF External Wholesaler is a full-time, defined territory role, responsible for driving distribution and asset growth for Corgi Invest’s ETF lineup. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with financial advisors, wealth managers, and other intermediaries, including conducting in-person meetings, calls, and presentations to educate them on the firm’s strategies and product offerings. The External Wholesaler will develop and execute territory-level business plans, collaborate closely with internal sales partners, and provide ongoing market and product insights to clients.

Daily activities include prospecting new relationships, tracking sales activity, attending industry events and conferences, and ensuring all communications align with regulatory and compliance standards. You will work directly with our internal wholesale team to coordinate production. The role also involves providing feedback to product and marketing teams on client needs and market trends to support continuous product and messaging improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong business planning skills, including territory management, goal setting, and execution of strategic sales initiatives.
• Looking for entrepreneurial mindsets who want to build out a book of business.
• Solid foundation in finance and investments, with the ability to explain ETF structures, risk/return profiles, and portfolio applications to a range of professional investors.
• Direct experience in wholesale distribution or external sales within asset management, ETFs, or related financial products.
• Proven sales skills, including prospecting, relationship building, closing, and maintaining long-term client partnerships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-focused messages.
• Knowledge of the advisory and intermediary landscape in the U.S., preferably with established relationships in the Chicago area or surrounding region.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal sales, marketing, and product teams while operating independently in the field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; relevant professional designations (e.g., CFA, CIMA) are a plus.
• FINRA licenses (such as Series 7 and 63 or equivalents) or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe, as required.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and inclusive, professional client interactions.
