Specific Information About the Area:

The Legal Department is responsible for handling and managing legal matters at Cummins, including contracts, litigation, projects, and responding to internal inquiries from business users across all areas, levels, and functions. The department manages risk for Cummins and provides timely legal advice to internal clients. The main stakeholders for this project are Indirect Purchasing, Facilities, GIS, and some manufacturing areas. The student will gain direct exposure to corporate legal processes, interaction with multiple business areas, and participation in a project with cross-functional impact on Legal operations.

Activities:

• Completing templates authorized by Cummins according to internal user requirements, supporting the proper standardization of low-complexity contractual documents.
• Analysis of legislative reforms.
• Participating in training sessions as support staff.
• Supporting responses to low-complexity legal inquiries.

The student will be trained in:

• Basic legal drafting and use of contractual templates.
• Effective communication and design of materials for internal users.
• Use of corporate tools for content creation and training.

Requirements:

• Availability for 1 year as an active student (enrolled at the university until May–June 2027).
• Availability to work 7 morning hours from Monday to Friday, preferably from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from June 2026 to July 2027.
• Law student.
• Must have a Federal Taxpayer Registration (RFC).
• Intermediate English level (speaking, writing, and listening).
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
