Singer Equipment is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager / Project Estimator to support the Agawam/Westford division with estimating, project tracking, forecasting, vendor coordination, and data-driven project analysis.
This hybrid role blends project management, project estimating, forecasting, and business analysis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, vendor pricing, change orders, project documentation, and margin analysis while partnering closely with project managers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal leadership. This position is designed for someone who can pivot between analytical work and hands-on project support in a fast-paced commercial foodservice equipment environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Prepare, review, and maintain project estimates for commercial foodservice equipment projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, bid packages, addenda, vendor pricing, and project requirements to identify scope, cost, margin, and risk considerations.
• Use AutoQuotes and Excel to build estimates, track pricing, manage vendor discounts, and support accurate change order processing.
• Partner with project managers to support project tracking, job management, documentation, and follow-through from estimate through execution.
• Develop forecasting tools, reports, and analytical models to support project visibility, win/loss tracking, profitability analysis, and business planning.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, and internal teams to obtain pricing, resolve questions, and support timely project delivery.
• Maintain organized project records, estimate files, pricing documentation, and reporting tools.
• Support the Westford division’s growth by improving estimating processes, strengthening project visibility, and contributing to team efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in project estimating, project management, job management, forecasting, analytics, or a related commercial construction support role.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manage large datasets, build spreadsheets, track pricing, and analyze project-level data.
• Ability to evaluate vendor pricing, discounting, margins, project costs, and profitability drivers.
• Experience with estimating tools such as AutoQuotes, or the ability to quickly learn estimating software and related systems.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, organization, and accuracy when managing estimates, project documents, and pricing information.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project managers, vendors, internal stakeholders, and leadership.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid training and office schedule, including time in Agawam and the Westford office.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
• Commercial foodservice equipment, construction estimating, or project coordination experience.
• Familiarity with change orders, vendor quote review, equipment pricing, and project handoff processes.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn project data into useful reporting and business insights.
• Adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable shifting between estimating, forecasting, project tracking, and analytical responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal presence with a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented approach.
Work Arrangement
• Hybrid schedule with training in Agawam approximately two days per week.
• Remote work available as business needs allow.
• Regular reporting to the Westford office, beginning around one day per week and increasing as training concludes.

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all listed requirements. We recognize that skills and potential can take many forms, and we value diverse experiences that may not align perfectly with traditional qualifications.
