Junior Estimator – Building Automation
NW Metro | Direct Hire | $65-80k


Konik is partnering with a growing Building Automation (BAS) contractor to add a Junior Estimator to their team. This group focuses on mechanically driven BAS solutions across commercial projects, such as municipal, K-12, and high-profile facilities like airport infrastructure.


This is a growth-oriented opportunity for someone early in their career who has exposure to HVAC, BAS, or low voltage systems and is looking to build a long-term path in estimating and technical sales support. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team and receive hands-on training from experienced leaders


Junior Estimator – Building Automation Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing estimates for Building Automation and controls systems, including materials, equipment, software, and labor
  • Support the creation of scope proposals that clearly communicate project intent and deliverables
  • Partner with Account Managers and senior team members during project kickoff to understand scope, pricing, and design approach
  • Coordinate vendor pricing and subcontractor quotes to support accurate estimating
  • Utilize estimating tools and software to track and manage project opportunities
  • Support multiple active estimates while maintaining organization and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure alignment across project scope and execution

Junior Estimator – Building Automation Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in HVAC, electronics, or related degree
  • 1+ year of experience in HVAC, Building Automation (BAS), low voltage, or related field
  • Exposure to estimating, project coordination, or technical systems preferred
  • Strong interest in learning estimating processes and building systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work fully in-office for the initial 6 months of training; transitions to a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office
