Job Description

FS Blinds Estimator - Multi family projects:

Review and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentations to understand the scope of work and project requirements for window coverings/blinds in Multi-Family projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and analyze project specs, blueprints, plans
• Manage measurements to quantify materials required
• Estimate costs for materials, labor and equipment
• Proofreading data
• Answer email in timely manner
• Answer phone calls/return missed phone calls and voicemails immediately
• Working to meet deadline each day/sense of urgency
• Helping all teammates
• Operate office equipment including computer and copier
• Adhere to confidentiality regulations

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Typing skills / 40 wpm preferred
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong math skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer skills and knowledge of flooring/new home construction a plus
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• 3 – 5 years in construction or related field; experience with bid preparation preferred
• High School Diploma/GED/College

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift 1-10lbs occasionally
• Required to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time, repetitively use hands to finger, handle, grip, feel, reach with hands and arms, occasionally stand, walk
• Able to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
