We are committed to providing high quality service to new homebuilders, home centers, independent designers, commercial developers and retail customers.

Physically measure and diagram job sites for the purpose of providing a quote to our customer for labor and material required to complete job in a professionally workmanship manor. Provide written and oral information to the customer, sales person, purchasing team, scheduler, and installer containing clear and concise information as to all the details associated with the job. When in customer’s homes, assist in closing sale and collecting deposits. Actively seek methods to improve operational capabilities and reduce labor, material, and supply costs.

Generalized Work Activities:

  • Scheduling Work and Activities – Schedule and manage time to complete all estimates within desired time frame.
  • Communicating with Supervisors and Peers - Provide information to supervisors, customers, and co-workers. Solve customer or coordination issues on site.
  • Analyzing Data or Information - Present factual descriptions of projects or issues and recommend solutions. Supervise and perform comprehensive project evaluation to ensure that all aspects of the job are included in the estimate.
  • Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Stay up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job while teaching others.

Required Knowledge:

  • Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the installation of all flooring products. Knowledge of products, measuring, and calculating estimates. Familiar with techniques and labor saving methods. Knowledge of common errors and corrective measures.
  • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, models and work instructions.
  • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, as it applies to this position.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, labor processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective installation as these relate to flooring and the construction trades.

Required Skills:

  • Critical Thinking - Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate option.
  • Active Listening - Provide full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and avoid interrupting at inappropriate times.

Education and Training:

  • Occupational: Flooring installation, estimation, or construction supervision experience required. Must be proficient with prints, construction techniques, flooring types and applications.
  • Educational/Training Level: Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, CAD, emailing) required.
