Estimator

Join a growing plumbing and sprinkler contractor supporting large-scale new construction projects for GCs and owners. In this role, you’ll help the estimating team move faster by reviewing drawings, counting key items, and preparing accurate takeoff quantities for pricing.

What You'll Do:

• 
  Review plumbing and sprinkler drawings received from GCs, owners, or project contacts.
• 
  Count fixtures and equipment such as toilets, bathtubs, showers, kitchen sinks, laundry fixtures, washing machines, gas meters, sprinkler heads, fire pumps, and other items shown on the plans.
• 
  Use takeoff software to manually mark drawings, categorize items, and generate accurate quantity totals.
• 
  Measure and estimate piping quantities from scaled drawings when available.
• 
  Make reasonable piping estimates when drawings are incomplete or do not show every pipe run clearly.
• 
  Export takeoff results into Excel and prepare quantity data for the estimator to price the job.
• 
  Work with the current in-office takeoff employee during training and eventually take over more of the takeoff workload.
• 
  Ask clarifying questions when something on the plan does not add up or requires estimator review.
• 
  Complete assigned takeoffs within expected timelines, typically around half a day for a sizable project once trained.

Who You'll Work With:

Be an integral part of a growing plumbing and sprinkler contracting team, working closely with the estimating team and current takeoff employee to support accurate bids for new construction projects.

Who We're Looking For:

• 
  MEP Plan Reading Experience:
  Experience reading MEP drawings is required.
• 
  Detail-Oriented:
  Able to spot fixtures and items accurately, including when symbols overlap or drawings are cluttered.
• 
  Proactive Communication:
  Effective follow-up skills for keeping projects moving.
• 
  Reliable:
  Able to complete assigned jobs on time without needing constant follow-up.
• 
  Excel Comfortable:
  Able to work with exported takeoff data and organize quantities clearly for the estimating team.
• 
  Software Trainable:
  Comfortable learning the company’s takeoff software and internal workflow.
• 
  Focused:
  Comfortable sitting for long periods reviewing plans carefully without losing focus.
• 
  Plumbing Drawing Knowledge:
  Experience with plumbing drawings is a plus, but not necessary.
• 
  Location:
  Must be located in the Philippines.
