Job Description

Our client, an international shipyard group operating within the maritime and yacht repair industry, is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Estimator to join its Shipyard operations in Malta.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimations, analysing technical specifications, and coordinating closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal departments to support project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Analyse technical specifications and documentation provided by customers.
• 
  Prepare technical and cost estimations for ship repair and related projects.
• 
  Develop the technical and economic data required for accurate project quotations.
• 
  Liaise with management, purchasing, and technical departments regarding project requirements.
• 
  Attend meetings with customers and internal technical teams.
• 
  Maintain professional communication with customers and subcontractors.
• 
  Assist in evaluating project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
• 
  Support continuous improvement of estimation and costing processes.

Requirements

• 
  Degree in Naval Architecture, Naval Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 
  Previous experience in an Estimator role is required.
• 
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• 
  Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• 
  Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• 
  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical environment.
• 
  Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
