Duties:

• Receive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopes and alignment with Contractor bid
• Continually develop and maintain relationships with client and vendor base; work, communicate, present, and negotiate with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers and sub-tier contractors to win business.
• Thoroughly vet subcontractors; meet subcontractors and suppliers on-site, as necessary
• Proficient in developing detailed, conceptual estimates
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, develop assumed specifications, and assign market relevant cost factors to fully articulate preliminary/final construction cost estimates
• Maintain positive cost control practices within, but not limited to: change orders, buyouts, and projections
• Research and understand the risks related to potentially self-performing some trade work
• Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations; ensure accurate takeoffs for budget
