Estimator- New York City, New York

Primary Function:

• Prepare takeoff and estimates for various small to medium size GC/M/E/P construction projects in public sector (SCA, DASNY, DDC, DASNY, NYCHA) JOC (Job Order) contracts using E-Gordian Software.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review Construction Documents and prepare take offs and Estimates in Job Order Contracting format using unit prices similar to RSMeans Book.  
• Procure quotes from prospecting sub-contractors and vendors for jobs in estimating phase.
• Prepare initial (baseline) job schedules for estimated work.
• Work with Project Management team to establish takeoff/estimates and discuss means and methods for New Projects and Change orders.
• Work with Project Management team to kick off estimated awarded projects

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent Organizational skills.
• Ability to Multitasking is a must.
• Detail Oriented.
• Experience/knowledge of construction and design
• Thorough understanding of construction industry practices. Job Order Contracting (JOC) is a plus.
• Superior interpersonal skills needed

• Proficient in RSMeans Book and/or E-Gordian software.
