Job Description

Leed is a privately-owned Australian civil contractor delivering projects in metropolitan, regional and

As an experienced Estimator within the Leed Estimation Team, you will primarily be assigned to support our Ecospec and Birubi business units on tender preparations and cost estimating activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for potential opportunities, preparing tender submissions and returnables, and contributing to methodologies and programs that support the successful award of projects. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with and provide estimating support to the wider Leed Group across a range of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pricing projects accurately based on developed and historic pricing and productivities.

• Maintaining coherent and transparent pricing using the systems and processes in place.

• Coordinate inputs from the wider team to develop professional submissions.

• Assist in the training and development of Team members.

• Develop and maintain registers and reports as required.

• Identifying target clients and projects in line with the strategic direction set by the Company Board.

• Building relationships with current and prospective clients positioning our business for success.

About You:

• Extensive estimating experience in the civil infrastructure construction industry with site exposure to Government Infrastructure, Utility and Local Government Networks for Potable Water and drainage structures.

• Demonstrated ability to apply “First Principles Estimating”.

• Knowledge of Civil Construction including earthworks, road works, trenching and pipelaying.

• Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar package.

• Committed to meticulous work, with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.

• Demonstrated strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working on marine and coastal works, remediation works, and structural and protective coating projects would be advantageous.

• Remedial experience/exposure working on remediation projects would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be subject to the satisfactory completion of pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening.
