Job Description

Forward-thinking and innovative utilities contractor, specialising in civil engineering works for multi-utility projects in London, requires an Estimator with a background in utilities to join their ever-growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Produce estimates and tender submissions as part of the project bidding process
• Provide cost estimates through the analysis of plant, resources and labour required to successfully complete projects
• Client liaison
• Issue enquiries for subcontractors and supplies
• Measurements for Bills of Quantities
• Prepare reports

The Person:

• Experience as an Estimator within the HV / high voltage / power distribution, water, gas, or multi-utilities industries
• Strong communicator, who is comfortable working under pressure, with strong analytical and report writing skills
• Strong working knowledge of Standards Methods of Measurement, such as CESSM, supply chain management and commercial contracts
