Job Description

The HVAC Estimation Engineer is responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems in E-Houses and Oil & Gas accommodation projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems within E-Houses and Oil & Gas accommodation projects.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents to gather necessary information.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Research and source pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare and present estimates to management.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks within project proposals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry standards, advancements, and trends.
• Track and report on estimation metrics and project costs.
• Assist in contract negotiations and subcontractor/vendor selections.
• Ensure all estimates comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years proven experience in cost estimation for HVAC projects,
• particularly in E-Houses and Oil & Gas sectors for onshore and offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (DX , Chilled water, VRF ), components, and design standards.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Professional engineering license (PE) preferred.

Skills:

• HVAC design and analysis.
• Expert in use of HVAC design software like HAP an ELITE
• Cost estimation software (e.g., ProEst, RSMeans).
• AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
• Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of construction codes and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Negotiation and contract management.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking.
