ABOUT THE JOB: Efficiently and accurately generate takeoffs of project plans, and inputs necessary data into software programs to create quotes. Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation as needed when completing quotes

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assesses all costs - material and labor - for potential construction projects.
• Assist with creating estimates and cost or expenditure statements for use in future project consideration.
• Consults with Sales and provides Sales with detailed scopes of work for competitive bids.
• Develop multiple estimates for a variety of materials in a typical construction project
• Able to read and understand construction blue prints
• Translate blue prints to quote/estimate for project
• Know pricing structure of company and use Best Management Practice to win bids
• Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
• Comply with all Geneva Pipe and Precast/NWP policies, procedures and guidelines
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

• Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

• Possess strong analytical skills

• Understands precast process and production capabilities of plants

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High school, College, certifications or equivalent
• 1 year experience in a construction office environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read, write and speak in English language
• Must have a proficient understanding of civil engineering and surveying terms and methods.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
• Close Supervision: The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently
