
Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Senior or Lead)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Senior or Lead) to join our team developing estimates for Air Dominance Proprietary programs in Berkeley, Missouri or Hazelwood, Missouri Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 Specialists to find the best fit for the position.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work. The ideal candidate will combine strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build, and support stages of the program
Leads development, and application of complex estimating, and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
Guides business proposals, evaluates, and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposals, and substantiates estimates, and pricing
Leads and performs complex analysis, and provides recommendations in support of pricing, and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams, and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate, and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals, and other related business decision data
Provides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts, and coordinate responses through proposal teams
Supports, prepares, and briefs senior leader-level presentations
Identifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools, and techniques to simplify estimating, and pricing methodologies, and improve cost estimating accuracy
Supports compliance activities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher
5+ years of experience in a business-related role (finance, contracts, accounting, etc.)
5+ years of experience in developing estimates
5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, etc
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
Experience using data analysis to drive decision making
Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
Experience presenting to senior leadership
Experience performing opportunity and risk analysis

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $119,000 - $161,000
Pay Range Lead (Level 5): $144,500 - $195,500
