Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Berkeley, MO This assignment will support both the Air Dominance Proprietary Division as well as the Engineering & Technology Innovation (E&TI) Organization. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 2 and Level 3 Specialists to find the best fit for the position.
You will be directly involved with cost proposal development including analysis of statement of work requirements, selection of appropriate estimating methodologies, substantiation of estimates/pricing, ensuring estimating system compliance and acquiring appropriate reviews and approvals of submissions to various Government and Non-Government team members.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong creative problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. They are motivated to support both competitive and sole-source proposals, can work independently or collaboratively, and adapt quickly to shifting daily priorities. They effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines, and prioritize tasks to maintain a healthy work–life balance.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
Develops estimating and pricing methods
Evaluates and develops business cases
Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Incorporates data, maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements
Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals
Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher
1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
1+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations related to cost proposal development (examples: Estimating System Manual, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), procurement integrity, and export compliance)
Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050
Pay Range Experienced (Level 3): $93,500 - $126,500
