Estimating & Preconstruction Manager
Location: Hybrid, prefer in office (Appleton, WI)
Company: The Boldt Company – National Power & Industrial
Anticipated Pay Range: $120,000 to $160,200 annually
At Boldt, we build more than complex projects—we build strong relationships, great teams, and lasting impact.
As an Estimating & Preconstruction Manager, you lead how Boldt builds trust—setting projects up for success long before construction begins. You’ll drive pursuits and preconstruction efforts across power generation and pulp & paper projects, guiding work from early strategy through end of design and bringing clarity to cost, scope, and risk in complex, high‑value environments.
You’ll partner closely with owners, engineers, designers, and internal teams—using Lean principles, open‑book contracting, and integrated delivery to align stakeholders early and build shared confidence in project outcomes. This role blends strategy with execution: owning the estimating and bidding process, supporting contract negotiations, facilitating high‑impact meetings, and making informed decisions with limited engineering detail.
Client‑facing and collaborative by design, you’ll present estimates and recommendations transparently, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction into execution. While not a formal people‑manager role, you are a visible leader—someone who influences direction, holds teams accountable, and strengthens relationships across the full project lifecycle.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,200 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
