Estimating Analyst
PURPOSE
The Estimating Analyst is responsible for accurately determining and managing costs associated with company products and services, ensuring all cost data is accurate, up-to-date, and recorded effectively. This role supports the finance and operations departments by providing essential cost analysis to help guide budgeting, pricing, and cost-control strategies. Furthermore, you will be required to work with the Sales, Customer Service and Production Teams in providing pricing services and works instructions, in support of the company’s sales targets and profitability goals
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cost Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze production costs, overhead, labor, and raw material expenses.
• Monitor provided time-capture data and correct errors.
• Report and analyze variances between actual and standard costs.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on any cost-related requests
2. Data Entry and Maintenance:
• Regularly update and maintain the cost database with current data.
• Assist in creating bills of materials and monitoring inventory costs.
3. Support Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for new and existing products.
• Provide input for pricing decisions based on cost structures.
4. Coordination with Other Departments:
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales departments to collect and validate cost information.
• Work with Sales, CSRs and Production in providing pricing services and works instructions (SNAPs).
5. Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
• Prepare reports for internal and external audits and respond to audit inquiries, if required
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize costs.

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Estimating or equivalent qualification. (Bachelor Degree in Accounting)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Proficiency in MS office or equivalent software
• Radius experience would be advantageous
