Qualifications

Analyzes customer requirements, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. ·
  • Experience with CAD or similar software.
  • Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
  • ·Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
  • ·Coordinates efforts as part of the team to assist all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
  • ·Maintains a strong equipment and capabilities knowledge for project verification and planning.
  • Source material to initiate and oversee trials for new products/applications.
  • Recommends raw material substitutions to maximize product costs.
  • Validates pricing on Repeat Orders not kept on the Customer Price Sheets.
  • Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
  • Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
  • Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
