European Wax Center (EWC Growth) is offering a $1,000 Sign-On bonus!

Looking to grow your career with the leading hair removal business in the country? Come join one of the top franchisee's of European Wax Center and see why growth is in our name!

We're looking for Licensed Estheticians & Cosmetologists to move through our wax specialist development program and eventually become Peer Trainers. These individuals are expected to perform services while developing new wax specialist hires as they begin their journey with our brand.

Our highest performing Wax Specialists earn up to $90,000 annually, which encompasses hourly pay, gratuity, & other incentive bonuses, with the following center locations available for full-time employment:

Newbury St. | Beacon Hill | Cambridge | Newton | Waltham | Weymouth

In addition to providing high-quality waxing services and educating guests on EWC products and routines, the Wax Specialist & Peer Trainer serves as an on-the-floor role model, coach, and peer resource This individual reinforces EWC service standards, supports new-hire development, provides constructive real-time coaching, and helps create a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver an Exceptional Guest Experience & Service

  • Perform waxing services in accordance with EWC protocols, safety standards, and service expectations.
  • Create a welcoming, comfortable, and professional experience for every guest.
  • Conduct thoughtful consultations and educate guests on waxing routines, aftercare, and recommended products.
  • Build guest loyalty through personalized service, consistency, and relationship-building.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and guest-ready wax suite.
  • Meet or exceed established performance expectations related to services per ticket and retail product sales.

Serve as Role Model

  • Model EWC service standards, behaviors, brand expectations, and technical best practices during every shift.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new Wax Specialists through hands-on training, observation, demonstration, practice, and feedback.
  • Reinforce training concepts after formal onboarding to help Wax Specialists successfully transition from learning to consistent execution on the floor.
  • Provide supportive, specific, and actionable peer-to-peer coaching in the moment.
  • Help Wax Specialists strengthen technical execution, consultation skills, guest communication, product knowledge, rebooking behaviors, and overall confidence.
  • Demonstrate techniques and best practices while explaining the "why" behind EWC standards.
  • Celebrate progress and recognize strong performance to encourage continued development.

Support Ongoing Development

  • Lead virtual peer-based educational workshops focused on guest experience, service consistency, and product knowledge.
  • Partner with center leadership to identify coaching opportunities and reinforce development priorities.
  • Observe Wax Specialists and provide feedback based on established EWC expectations rather than personal preferences.
  • Help identify skill gaps or recurring challenges that may require additional coaching or leadership support.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Wax Specialist (& Peer Trainer) will complete the following:

  • Complete our 12-week training program, leveling up from the training level (pink) to our standard level (orange).
  • Meet or exceed metrics surrounding services per ticket + package dollar per ticket.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Build a book of repeat business and credibility and trust with both peers and leadership.
  • Coach + provide feedback in a way that is clear, respectful, encouraging, and actionable.

Requirements

  • Active esthetics or cosmetology license as required by applicable state regulations.
  • Interest in waxing hair removal.
  • Consistent history of strong performance and professionalism.
  • Strong understanding of guest experience standards and product recommendation.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills clearly and translate knowledge into practical coaching.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Full-time, open availability strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
