Creating a great learning environment takes more than classrooms and facilities. It takes a dedicated team behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly. We are seeking a proactive and reliable Estates Porter to join our Estates team, providing professional portering, logistics and site support services across the College estate. This varied, hands-on role is essential to the daily operation of the College, supporting staff, pupils, visitors and contractors through furniture moves, event set-ups, transport services, deliveries, security duties and general estate assistance. From preparing examination rooms and supporting major sporting fixtures to responding to operational needs across campus, you will play a key role in helping deliver an outstanding environment for learning and co-curricular activities.
The successful candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and have experience working in a customer-focused environment, carrying out practical or operational tasks and managing changing priorities. You will be a flexible team player with a strong commitment to health and safety, excellent customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Experience within a school, facilities, estates or site services environment would be advantageous, as would minibus driving, First Aid or health and safety qualifications. This role includes regular manual handling, occasional evening and weekend working, participation in a Saturday rota and requires an enhanced DBS check. If you enjoy working in a varied role where no two days are the same and take pride in providing exceptional support services, we would love to hear from you.
