JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

ToperformtheTyphoonEngineering Support System(ESS) Reference DataManagement function aspart of the TSC DataIntegrity Team (DIT) within theESS Data Management Team, based intheTyphoon Support Centre (TSC) inTaif, KSA on behalf of theRSAF, reporting to the Typhoon Weapon System Data Manager.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
·ManagingtheDIT,withintheTSC,toensurethetimelyprovisionandcorrectmanagementof Reference Data required by the ESS,ensuring the data is embodied in a timely manner to operateandmaintain theaircraftefficiently.
·Provideafocalpointforalldatachangeswithin theESSfor bothIndustry (viaTyphoon Technical Support Services (TTSS)) and the RSAF,implementing a stringent data policy regime, ensuringconfidenceacross theTSCareainsupportoftheflyingprogrammeand data analysis requirements of theIn-ServiceData Management Team.
·Assess all ESS database amendments and implement them as authorised by the RSAF HQ. Test Reference and Business data changes beforeimplementation into the live ESS system. Resolve user data issues and support data queries,using the live ESS instance.
·ResolveReference Dataqueries, definingamendmentsorissuingnewdata, togetherwith issuing an implementationplan,authorisingmanualorautomaticscriptfilechanges.
·ToprimetheESSreadyfor newlydelivered aircraftand capabilities,testingandcheckingall new reference and business data deliveries,on behalf of the RSAFHQ.
·Toassess/compare data integrity relating to aircraft and componentlife stored on the separate systems of the ESS and TechnicalPublications.
·Analysisof TechnicalSpecialist Reports anddataprovidedby In-Service DataAnalysis Team in ordertoidentifytrendsor problem areas to determine ESS Data recovery action.
·Tomake RSAFapproved changestoIndustry provideddata whenthisdatadoesnotconform to RSAFpolicies ormightimpactonthe operation ormaintenanceoftheaircraft.
·Assist with the development and maintenance ofTSCProcesses and Procedures relating to ESS DataIntegrity.
·Carry out assessments of ESS functionality from aReference Dataperspectiveand, where required,make recommendations to RSAF HQ for ESS functionality improvements.
·Undertakinganyadditional,reasonable,tasksasmayfromtimetotimeberequestedbyTSC andRSAF management.
·ProvidedirectsupporttotheTyphoonWeaponSystem Data Manager, andactasadeputyif required.
·AssistingwiththestructuredOn-the-JobtrainingforRSAFand/orSaudiNationalESS ReferenceData Managementstaff, intheformoftraining,coaching,work experience and mentoringasappropriate
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential:
·Qualified todegree level (or with HND/HNC plus extensive practical experience supported by formal, recorded workplace training) in an Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical engineering discipline, with significant experience ofadesign andsupport engineering organisation within an aircraft related industry.
·Musthaveexperienceinmanagingapproveddatasets.
·Musthavein-depthknowledge ofAircraftReference DataandBusiness Dataprinciples and practices, the relationship between the data types and therequirements for continuing airworthiness managementin terms of Data Management.
·Mustbecapable ofmanaging multiplesimultaneous programs,workingtotightdeadlines, with multiple stakeholder inputs.
·Capableofmanaginga multi-skilled,multi-national team,integratingitintoavirtual,multi agency, team, which may be geographically dispersed.
·Proficientinstrategicthinkingandabletocommunicateideasandsolutionsacrossthe management command chain.
·Aseasonedknowledgeofdatamanagementpresentationtechniques.
Desirable:
·ExperienceofTyphoonorotherfastjetplatform.
·Experienceinanaircraftmilitarysupport/maintenanceenvironmentatSupervisorylevel.
·Knowledge of the Typhoon Engineering Support System (ESS). Experiencein theuseofthe Microsoft Officesuiteofprogrammes. FamiliaritywiththeTeamCenterapplicationasauser.
