We are excited to announce an opening for an experienced Global Compliance Counsel to join Solenis’ Legal Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing business environment.
The Global Compliance Counsel will report to the Regional General Counsel LATAM and work closely with the SVP and Global General Counsel, providing strategic compliance leadership and partnering across regions and functions. This is a high-impact role with exposure to executive leadership and collaboration with global teams.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct and track ongoing investigations, ensuring consistency of process-related data;
Manage the company’s hotline and other ethics and compliance resources;
Manage the annual Code of Conduct certification cycle and coordinate required follow-up;
Oversee global learning and training processes; drive and track completion results;
Identify and implement efficiency improvements using internal tools and IT support;
Manage data for reporting, benchmarking, and risk assessment purposes;
Lead external reporting and benchmarking initiatives on behalf of OEC/Legal;
Support on global communication and training initiatives;
ESG and Due Diligence:
Support initiatives related to Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), ensuring alignment with compliance policies;
Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Vendor (KYV) processes to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation;
Provide information to support corporate sustainability benchmarking initiatives and maintenance of content for the Company’s sustainability report and other ESG-related documentation;
Data Governance and Reporting
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance program effectiveness;
Create and maintain interactive dashboards for tracking metrics;
Prepare executive-level presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors;
Policy and Resource Management
Maintain an updated catalog of compliance-related policies, training, and communication materials;
Manage and update OEC’s landing page on InSite;
Support additional compliance program responsibilities as needed, partnering with other functions to create efficiencies;
Legal Operational Efficiency
Design and deploy tools to enhance Legal and Compliance Department efficiency;
Manage systems and processes of third-party service providers;
Coordinate with internal and external counsel on investigation matters;
Job Requirements
University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced law degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, PMP, CCMP, CFE) are a plus;
More than 5 years of corporate legal or law firm experience;
Excellent command of spoken and written English;
Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and confidence among stakeholders;
Critical thinking, sound judgment, and adaptability;
Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail;
Ability to work independently and effectively with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment;
Proven project management and organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines;
Experience preparing internal reports, presentations, and training materials, including executive summaries for senior leaders;
Strong technology skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Forms, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Navex, LMS, Securimate, Ethquo, Workday, SAP and willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., Workiva);
