This position has the authority to manage and decide only in specific situations of the operation,
however, the employee has limitations in making decisions on matters of material expenses, taxes,
permits regulated by the different authorities in general. Including service quotes. Nothing that
infringes the basic principles of the company to achieve its objectives and interests.
• Inventory Control in accordance with Annex 30 of Customs/SAT of MX – System of Control of Credit
and Guarantee Accounts. Harmony and unification in systems: Vastera - JDE - Physical Inventory,
transmission of monthly discharge reports to the SAT.
• Inventory Control of Customs of Mexico in accordance with Annex 24 of Customs MX – Inventory
Control, Preparation of comparative reports of Annex 24 vs. Data Stage, control of invoice discharges,
control of merchandise temporalities, update of Tickets of materials.
• Ensure compliance with BD Share Point reports (transportation/logistics).
• Preparation of monthly INEGI report.
• Annual FDA regulatory update on the VASTERA Customs System.
• USMCA annual certificates of origin for raw materials.
• Maintain the physical and electronic files of all the information required for import/export in accordance
with the laws of MX and US.
• Ensure compliance with certification procedures and monitoring: OEA/CTPAT
• Compulsory compliance with the general and security procedures applicable to this position (C2C,
Maxwell, Master Control, etc.).
• Additional activities as required.
• Preparation of import and export invoices for Virtual transfer of raw material and waste.
• Preparation of invoices for the change in the waste mixture regime.
• Annual update of costs of materials and products in Vastera.
• Scheduling the collection of materials in Mexico and other countries, coordination with carriers for
their transfer until they are delivered to the plant.
• Coordination of sending returns of materials or finished products from the warehouse to destinations.
• Customer service through telephone and/or local meetings in follow-up to their requirements.
• Quote for international, ocean and domestic shipments.
• Control of expenses / Administration of accounts of the different carriers and maintain contact with
them for support or clarifications.
• Supply of logistic reports of the monitoring of each shipment, whether raw material or finished product
with the distribution center, and direct shipments such as BBraun, Hollister, Coloplast.
• Assistance to the Customs Manager in special projects.
• Assistance for general annual update of the VASTERA customs software.
Coordination and teamwork with all internal and external associates of BD, in addition to the external
providers that apply to be successful in our operation.
• This position has the responsibility of adhering to the principles and values of ethics and anticorruption
of BD.
• Knowledge of the following activities as support of the analyst and customs assistant
✓ Prepare and send weekly reports of import and export invoices to the MX customs agent for the
preparation of consolidated petitions.
✓ Review of motions for payment approval
✓ Preparation of temporary and final import invoices, exports for daily dispatch.
✓ Coordinate empty trailers for Imports and Exports
✓ Coordination of the local transportation company for the shipment of imports and exports
✓ Coordination with the team to send empty trailers for imports and exports.
✓ Coordination with shipping and planning teams for special import and export requirements.
✓ Review of controls sent by the warehouse (WI) for approval.
Education and Experience:
• College graduate with a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Customs and Traffic environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Customs classification Knowledge
• MX and US Customs Law Knowledge, Annex 24, and Annex 31
• PC skills to include Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Customs Software Skills
