This role performs equipment dismantling, inspection, documentation, and Root Cause Failure Analysis to identify failure mechanisms, support customer failure reviews, and drive continuous reliability improvements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform dismantling and teardown of returned ESP equipment, including pumps, gas separators, seal sections, motors, sensors, and associated components
  • Follow established DIFA procedures, teardown sequences, and safety practices
  • Maintain proper identification, labeling, and traceability of all equipment and components
  • Preserve failure evidence by avoiding cleaning, alteration, or modification unless instructed
  • Maintain dismantled components and wells in an organized and controlled manner
  • Coordinate and support ESP teardown scheduling
  • Conduct detailed inspections of ESP components to identify damage, wear, corrosion, or abnormal conditions
  • Document teardown and inspection findings through written observations and photographic evidence
  • Develop Dismantle & Inspection (D&I), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Analysis reports
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analyses using industry standards and reliability engineering best practices
  • Identify recurring failure modes and contributing operational or environmental factors
  • Provide statistical analysis of ESP performance, including run life, failure trends, and root causes
  • Support the Reliability Manager with investigations, reporting, and technical analysis
  • Assist Sales teams during Customer Failure Reviews with technical findings and reliability conclusions
  • Communicate results clearly and professionally to internal teams and customers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reliability improvement strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or related field
  • Or High School Diploma with significant ESP DIFA experience may be considered for technician focused roles.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in ESP Reliability Engineering, DIFA, or related ESP service/repair operations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity using shop tools and equipment
  • Solid understanding of ESP components and downhole systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear engineering reports

About Endurance Lift Solutions

We are committed to being the only artificial lift company you’ll ever need. At Endurance Lift Solutions, we offer breakthrough technologies that span the production curve, along with a high level of service that creates lasting partnerships with our customers. Our goal is to maximize production for the life of your well.

Our artificial lift solutions provide the right answers in ESP, gas lift, plunger lift, and rod lift applications. We offer permanent real-time downhole gauges and capillary services to improve well productivity and downhole run life, allowing operators to realize significant lease operating expense savings with reduced service rig callouts. Our IntelliWell™ optimization and equipment tracking platform delivers industry-leading visibility, allowing our customer partners to audit our performance by well, lease, field, asset, or basin. This robust visibility allows us to track component-level run life with the ability to evaluate downhole metallurgy, query specific wellbore history, and generate highly detailed reports.

For up to 5x longer artificial parts run life, we offer the revolutionary performance of BLAZE® surface technology. Not a coating or plating, BLAZE is a proprietary, thermal-chemical diffusion technology that creates a slick, uniform, intermetallic boride layer that is highly abrasion- and corrosion-resistant and cannot peel or crack. BLAZE® surface technology dramatically increases the run life of pumps, plungers, valves, guides, couplings, trim kits, and downhole components, resulting in more uptime, fewer repairs, and less frequent equipment purchases.

With in-house application engineering, installation and field services, rod inspection and reconditioning services, manufacturing and assembly services, BLAZE-treated artificial lift parts, and advanced equipment monitoring, we are here to meet your artificial lift requirements with locations throughout the U.S.
