Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud/Azure Architect to design, manage, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure cloud services, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and cost optimization strategies. This role involves ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments that support dynamic scaling and business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and execute the migration of infrastructure from on-premises data centers to Azure cloud, ensuring minimal downtime, data integrity, and seamless transition.
Architect, design, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost efficiency without compromising performance or security.
Design and implement dynamic scaling solutions (scale-up and scale-down) to handle variable workloads efficiently.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring minimal downtime and risk.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Stay current with Azure platform updates, best practices, and emerging cloud technologies.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure management, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing dynamic scaling strategies in Azure (e.g., Azure Autoscale, VM Scale Sets).
Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent are required.
Solid understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques.
Experience with networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
