SHARE YOUR PASSION.

Knowing the destination isn't enough: you need to know how to get there. Build up your own networks, exploit new ideas, consistently take the initiative. Inspire other people with your enthusiasm. That's the only way to give ideas the power that allows them to become true innovations.

Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to make a real impact? As an ESG Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and driving the organization’s Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy. You translate ambition into action—ensuring compliance, connecting stakeholders, and embedding sustainability into the core of the business.

In this role, you act as a strategic partner, hands-on executor, and ambassador for sustainability, helping to drive innovation and long-term value creation.

What awaits you?

In this dynamic position, you will take ownership of the ESG agenda and ensure its successful execution across the organization. You will work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and stakeholder management, making sustainability tangible and measurable in daily business.

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and BMW standards while shaping and safeguarding ESG governance
  • Lead the development and implementation of the ESG strategy, fully aligned with BMW Group frameworks and ambitions
  • Define and steer key initiatives, timelines, and KPIs, translating strategy into impactful actions and results
  • Act as the central ESG point of contact, maintaining a clear overview across all Environmental, Social, and Governance activities
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration, building strong networks and engaging both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage ESG reporting, audits, and performance tracking, while representing the organization towards external partners and rating bodies
  • Deliver (e)Mobility and sustainability consulting, supporting customers in fleet electrification and CO₂ reduction

What should you bring along?

  • Relevant academic background with strong ESG and sustainability expertise
  • Proven experience in ESG strategy development and implementation
  • Track record in leading transformation and cross-functional projects
  • Knowledge of ESG regulations and frameworks (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, ESRS)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Business acumen with a clear understanding of sustainability’s impact on performance
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with fluent English and Dutch skills
