Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented coordinator to assist in the ESG (Environmental,Social, Governance), EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) & Business Resilience aspects to join our company in Hungary.

This entry-level role is primarily a data-driven analyticial position, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental & social reporting, environmental, health & safety (EHS) management, and business continuity processes within a dynamic, multi-site multi-national organization.

You will support data collection, validation, report preparation, coordination, and compliance-related activities while developing foundational expertise in ESG and operational risk management.

The role’s purpose is supporting site management, mainly EHS, HR, Security and Facilities in abovementioned subject activities across Hungarian operations. The role requires the ability to understand compliance obligations in both Hungarian and English.

This is a position with strong learning and development opportunities.

This is a fixed-term opporunity for 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

ESG Reporting & Sustainability

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate environmental data (e.g., energy, emissions, waste, company car fleet)
  • Maintain reporting trackers, dashboards, and supporting documentation
  • Contribute to preparation of internal and external ESG reports (acc. to Hungarian legislation)
  • Assist with supplier or contractor questionnaires and surveys
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (EHS, HR, Finance, Facilities) in gathering required data for also social and governance aspects

EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Support

  • Help track training records, corrective actions, and expiry of documentation
  • Support environmental activities (mainly report preparation in topics of waste and consumption)
  • Contribute to environmental and safety awareness materials and initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining documentation for audits (ISO 14001 / 45001 / 50001)

Business Resilience & Continuity Support

  • Support coordination of basic business continuity planning (BCP) activities in an established framework
  • Help maintain business continuity documentation
  • Assist various departments in their risk assessments and business impact analysis exercises
  • Track follow-up actions and ensure documentation is up to date
  • Support preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders

General & Administrative

  • Coordinate with multiple departments to collect and organize data
  • Assist in audit preparation and compliance activities
  • Participate in improving reporting tools, trackers, and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (possibly Master’s degree in progress) in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability, Business Administration or similar
  • Preferably 1–2 years of similar work experience
  • Fluent English and Hungarian is a must
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to work with dat
  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivots, dashboards, reporting) or similar spreadsheet management tool (for data handling, basic analysis)
  • Clear interest in environmental governance, sustainability, health & safety, and/or risk managemen
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, curious mindse
  • Ability to work in a structured way and follow guidance without pre-set procedures

Preferred but not necessary

  • Basic understanding of ESG frameworks or ISO management systems
  • Exposure to environmental or safety topics during studies/internships/experience
  • Familiarity with reporting tools or project/documentation tracking systems (Power BI, Smartsheet)
