How you will Make an Impact

As an Accounting Operations Advisory Professional with a specialisation in ESG, in the Audit & Assurance Team, you will be responsible for handling the practical application of reporting requirements, with a particular focus on ESG reporting. You will leverage your experience to advise clients on operational matters from a sustainability perspective, support in the implementation of new software applications, and provide guidance on the effectiveness of their operating environment, with a keen eye on ESG implications and overarching strategy.

Your main tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

• Supporting in the implementation of our clients’ ESG projects and proposal for such projects
• Conducting technical research in support of ESG projects and proposals
• Motivates and supports junior staff members to connect to ask technical questions and learn on-the-job and provides technical expertise for junior team members
• Develops understanding of how the assurance procedures performed relate to the specialist area of involvement
• Assisting clients with analytics and ways to develop and improve processes within their finance function.
• Ensure that any professional, technical or client service problems are communicated in a timely fashion to the appropriate individuals
• Working with other departments (e.g. tax, consulting) to provide coordinated solutions to clients
• Focus on evolving ESG matters and advice clients with verified ESG information; combine both significant auditing and assurance experience with a deep understanding of such matters and provide technical update training, including board sessions, on climate change risks and other emerging issues.

Your Specialized skills:

• Candidates must have a sound understanding of the current ESG landscape within the EU include Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD), Article 8 of EU taxonomy, Sustainable Finance reporting Directive (SFDR) and Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHGs) estimations.
• Candidates must be in possession of a finance qualification and looking to study ACCA or a finance degree, if not a Masters level Degree.
• Practical experience in finance or auditing role will be an asset.
• Any practical experience in software implementations and use of analytical tools will be considered an asset.
• Any experience in ESG strategy setting, reporting and/or assurance will be considered an asset.
• Use of the relevant internal and external knowledge databases and exploitation of the relevant information to benefit clients and the firm.
• Business acumen and insight to be an effective business advisor to clients.
• Motivated self-starter with the ambition to continue progressing your career successfully.
